Product Overview
The YJ-INTL Smart Wheel Sorter is a modular automated parcel sorting and diverting system designed for logistics operations that need flexible routing, high sorting efficiency and efficient use of warehouse space.
Instead of relying on fixed-direction mechanical diverters, the system uses independently controlled swivel-wheel modules to change the conveying direction of parcels and transfer them to different sorting destinations. The modular architecture allows the sorting line to be configured around the customer's parcel profile, throughput target, destination count and available floor space.
The Smart Wheel Sorter can be used as a standalone sorting module or integrated with barcode scanners, DWS, conveyors, PLC, WCS and WMS to create a complete automated parcel processing workflow.
For projects requiring frequent layout changes, multiple sorting destinations or mixed parcel applications, YJ-INTL can engineer the wheel configuration, conveyor width, sorting direction, support structure and control interface around the actual operating requirements.

FAQ
The system can be configured for a wide range of parcels, cartons, bags, apparel packages, books, e-commerce orders and other unit loads. The minimum parcel size depends on the selected model, while the maximum parcel dimension is primarily determined by the conveyor configuration, parcel characteristics and project layout rather than a single fixed product limit.
The maximum rated conveying speed of the YJW-2, YJW-5, YJW-5 Plus and YJW-8 configurations shown in the product specifications is up to 2,200 mm/s, with a maximum processing capacity of up to 6,000 parcels per hour under suitable operating conditions. Actual throughput depends on parcel size, spacing, induction method, sorting destinations and the overall system design.
The standard configurations shown in the technical specifications have a maximum load capacity of up to 60 kg. The appropriate model should be selected according to parcel weight, dimensions, center of gravity and conveying requirements.
Yes. The smart wheel sorter can be engineered for different parcel shapes and sizes, including cartons, bags and irregular parcels. For large cartons or special-shaped items, YJ-INTL recommends evaluating the parcel dimensions, weight distribution, surface characteristics and required conveying stability before selecting the wheel configuration.
The four configurations are designed for different conveying widths and modular layouts. YJW-2 is a compact option with a 460 mm width, YJW-5 provides a 550 mm width, YJW-5 Plus uses a longer 730 mm module with a 550 mm width, while YJW-8 provides an 800 mm width and is suitable for larger unit loads. Model selection should be based on parcel dimensions, required conveying stability, available space and the intended sorting application.
Yes. The smart wheel sorting line can be combined with barcode scanning, weighing, dimensioning and other parcel identification equipment. These systems can collect parcel information before or during sorting so that the control system can determine the required destination.
The YJ-INTL Smart Wheel Sorter can be integrated with upper-level control and warehouse systems such as WMS and WCS. The exact communication method, data interface and control architecture are determined according to the customer's existing system and project requirements.
The system can be configured into different layouts according to the warehouse structure and sorting requirements. Straight-line, F-type, E-type and H-type layouts can be developed, while smart wheel sections can also be combined with belt conveyors and other conveying equipment to create customized sorting routes.
The required number of operators depends on the degree of automation, feeding method, number of destinations and packaging or bagging operations. Project examples provided for the smart wheel system show that automated sorting can significantly reduce manual sorting requirements compared with traditional belt conveyor and manual sorting operations.
Yes. The system is designed around a modular architecture, allowing the conveying width, sorting destinations, feeding method, chute arrangement, scanning equipment, weighing and dimensioning equipment, indicators and other functions to be configured according to the application. YJ-INTL can design the sorting line based on the customer's actual parcel flow and warehouse layout.
Compared with manual sorting, automated wheel sorting can reduce repetitive manual handling and improve sorting consistency. Project applications shown for express, e-commerce, apparel, books and consolidation logistics demonstrate sorting capacities of approximately 4,000–5,200 parcels per hour in specific line configurations. These figures are project examples rather than a universal guaranteed throughput.
For system design and quotation, YJ-INTL normally needs information such as parcel dimensions, parcel weight range, parcel type, required throughput, number of sorting destinations, feeding method, warehouse layout, available installation space and the required interfaces with scanning, DWS, WMS or WCS systems. Video or sample parcel information can also help engineers evaluate the solution.
Yes. YJ-INTL can support project-based engineering services covering system design, equipment configuration, integration, installation and commissioning. The exact scope of service depends on the project location, system configuration and contractual requirements.
